At Alexandra we recognise that each child has unique qualities and we develop for all pupils an individual learning plan.

Children spend most of their time in class groups of between 6 and 10 other pupils, working with a teacher and one or more teaching assistants.

Our schemes of work are closely related to the National Curriculum although we allow our children to spend longer on topics and to work at a level appropriate to their ability rather than simply their age.

Throughout their years at school, children's learning is supported by a rich programme of educational visits, including regular subject related outings, Camp Week every summer term and a year 6 residential week in France.
